PLANS to knock down a four-bedroom detached house for a three-storey flats building should be approved despite objections, a council planning officer has said.
Vale of White Horse District Council’s Stuart Walker has recommended planning committee members approve the plan for Eynsham Road, Botley, when they meet on Wednesday. It would feature three one-bedroom and four two-bedroom flats, with nine car and 14 cycle spaces.
Ten letters opposed the development, expressing concern about its size, extra traffic and that it was “out of character with the area”.
But Mr Walker said it would “not detract from the character of the area”.
