Ed Nix visited the Jewellery and Silver exhibition at the Oxfordshire Museum and came back with this cracking shot. It could have been a difficult job, as photographing display cases can be a photographer’s nightmare. By shooting the subject through the display case and with his flash working off camera, Ed got the effect he was looking for
Jon Lewis pressed the shutter at just the right second when Barton Dog Show sponsor Katrina Lavis’s two dogs looked in opposite directions. I’m a sucker for a cute dog photo
This lovely candid shot of the Rt Rev John Pritchard was taken at the Grand Day Out to mark his retirement as Bishop of Oxford. David Fleming caught him sharing a picnic with his family who joined his church family at Christ Church Meadows to celebrate his career.

With its crisp, bright blue sky and the oranges and browns of the field, this picture sums up the start of autumn. Ed Nix shot through long grass to frame the participants of the Burford Ramble walking in aid of the Blue Cross. A great shot, that makes me want to stick my wellies on and get out there!
Young Yusuf Khalid was snapped by David Fleming enjoying the last of the season’s sunflowers at Oxford’s Botanic Garden. Caught on a long lens, resulting in the background and foregrounds being out of focus, it appears as though the two-year-old is completely surrounded by flowers. Lovely shot
