A car caught fire on the M40/ A34 junction near Bicester, yesterday morning, spreading smoke across the motorway. Two lanes of the northbound carriageway were closed between Weston-on-the-Green and Junction 9 while two fire crews dealt with the car.
This caused problems for morning commuters, with queues and slow traffic on the M40 and the A34 from Islip.
