A woman has been jailed for 24 weeks for stealing shopping in a trolley from Waitrose in St Martin’s Street, Wallingford, before she was stopped by other shoppers.
Beverley Webb, 50, of High Wycombe, admitted the theft at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
She was ordered to serve four weeks in prison for the theft, but a suspended sentence of 24 weeks given by Buckinghamshire Magistrates’ Court on September 17 was also activated to run concurrently.
