CHENEY School will hold a series of meetings with parents over the next few days to talk about its school uniform policy.
It comes after the Headington academy confirmed 20 pupils were taken out of the classroom yesterday for wearing “inappropriate” trousers.
Headteacher Jolie Kirby said: “Students are back in class and parents have been largely supportive, there’s not going to be a continuation of this.
“We are meeting with parents to address school policy. It’s important we work with the parents, but we are sticking by our school policy.”
Pupil Tamia James, 13, was put into isolation yesterday for wearing “Miss Sexy” branded trousers.
Mum Simone James said: “I’m interested to see what they have to say. I think if she allows them to wear the trousers until Christmas then we’ll have a resolution.
“None of the parents are saying they won’t buy new trousers, they just want to get their money’s worth, I’ve only just spent £45 on three new pairs.”
