Safe with cash taken when club is burgled
A safe containing cash was stolen after a Wantage club was burgled on Sunday.
The theft happened at Comrades Social Club, in Newbury Street.
Burglars forced open the club’s rear window at about 2am.
They had crossed the fields found behind the club from Chain Hill, Thames Valley Police said.
The safe was lifted and removed from the club’s store room, behind the bar area, with a sack trolley found inside the club.
