SILVER and jewellery artists are showing their metal at the Oxfordshire Museum in Woodstock as a collection of their finest work goes on display today.
The Jewellery and Silver Society of Oxford (JASSO), a group of professional and amateur jewellers, has produced dozens of works, a selection of which will be on sale alongside more decorative pieces.
Museum curator David Howells said: “It is a variety of decorative pieces and jewellery including necklaces, bangles, bracelets and earrings using a variety of techniques.
“We had a private viewing on Saturday which went really well.
Our top stories
“We had a good number of people, everybody enjoyed it and we are looking forward to more people coming.
“There are a variety of styles so some are in quite modern forms, some are like sculptures, others are plaques or display items.
“They are on display here for four weeks and I would encourage people to come down. We’re easy to find and Woodstock is a lovely place.”
The exhibition runs until October 18 and is free to visit.
