Safe stolen from Comrades Social Club in burglary
A SAFE containing cash was stolen after a Wantage club was burgled yesterday.
Thames Valley Police is appealing for information after the incident at Comrades Social Club, in Newbury Street.
Burglars forced open the club’s rear window at 2am.
They had crossed the fields found behind the club from Chain Hill.
The safe was lifted and removed from the club’s store room, behind the bar area, with a sack trolley found inside the club.
