A CHANGEOVER in the traffic system at Oxford’s Kennington Roundabout is to be delayed by four weeks, to mid-October.
Oxfordshire County Council was set to move a contraflow system put in place on the Southern Bypass last month, from the eastbound carriageway to the westbound one.
But now it has said the discovery of fragile electrical cables during work to convert Kennington Roundabout into a “hamburger” style junction has delayed those plans.
The authority said it would not delay the completion of the project, expected to be in November.
