London Road in Headington has reopened following a car fire.
Firefighters and police were called to the scene by the Green Road Roundabout at about 11.30am.
Thames Valley Police spokeswoman Rhianne Pope said the smoking car was a white Fiat 500. She said there were no other vehicles involved in the collision.
She said the road had to be closed, adding: “Because there is a lot of smoke it is dangerous for the traffic.”
Buses were being divered as a result of the closure.
