FOUR girls were approached and followed by a group of men in a black van on their way to school today.
The girls, aged between 11 and 13, were walking along Cricket Road, Cowley, when the three men approached them just after 8am, police said.
One of the men offered the girls a lift in the van, described as medium-sized and black with blacked-out windows, but they drove off when one of the victims said she would call the police.
Two of the men were white, in their 30s and about 5ft 8ins tall. One was wearing jogging bottoms and the other was wearing jeans.
The third man, who was mixed race, was also in his thirties and about 5ft 8ins tall. He was wearing a blue hooded top with white writing and blue jeans.
Det Sgt Simon Hannam said: “I would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the group of men or the vehicle around the time of the incident.”
Anyone with information should contact Det Sgt Hannam by calling 101.
