A 24-year-old man has been arrested over an assault on a man in his 30s in Blackbird Leys yesterday.
Thames Valley Police were called to Prunus Close at 2.10pm. The victim was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital, but police would not reveal what had caused his injuries.
A Thames Valley Police spokeswoman said officers were currently investigating the alleged assault and the 24-year-old man was in police custody. It is believed the road was cordoned off after the incident.
Prunus Close residents said they saw several police officers and an ambulance but were not told exactly what happened.
Resident Samantha Holte said: “The police taped off the end of my garden up to the lamp post. When I arrived home there were three policemen. The only thing we were told was there were two lads fighting out the front here.
“When I came home I had to be escorted to my house.”
A South Central Ambulance Service spokeswoman said it was called to Prunus Close at 2.14p and took a man in his 30s to hospital with non life-threatening head injuries.
