SOME heartfelt artworks will be on show at Wantage Art Group’s next exhibition.
The artists will open their annual exhibition at The Vale and Downland Museum, Church Street, on Tuesday.
Among the works on display, organiser Patsy Jones will be exhibiting some of her cave-painting inspired felt work.
Mrs Jones said: “As well as using some of the latest acrylics available, this year some of us have been experimenting with felt, which artists have used since sheep were first domesticated. I myself have used it to give an impression of cave paintings, the wool colours echoing the earth pigments found in prehistoric cave paintings, and the texture the rock surface of a cave wall.
The group holds monthly evening meetings at Charlton Day Centre.
The museum exhibition will run until October 4 and most of the art work will be for sale.
