A CHARITY art event will be held in Oxford next Thursday to support an Oxfam project in Niger.
The collaboration between The Oxford Circle, a group of Oxford women who work to support Oxfam, and artist Rachel Ducker, will take place at The Varsity Club, High Street, from 6pm to 9pm.
It will bring together pieces from a collection of Oxfordshire-based artists which will be sold to raise funds for an Oxfam education project to support children, expecially girls, from poor communities in the African country.
Ms Ducker said: “This exhibition gives The Oxford Circle an opportunity to not only harness the work of artists to support Oxfam’s campaign, but also to showcase the talents of local sculptors, painters and screen printers.”
