I am writing concerning Andrew Castle’s letter (September 11) and his drawing attention to the fact that all the public toilets in one area were under renovation at the same time.

I can’t speak regarding Speedwell Street and the Town Hall but I suspect that the toilet in St Aldate’s Police Station foyer wasn’t in the same category. Possibly as is the norm Thames Valley Police were just going through the motions. It’s a thought.
