TO lose a child is something no parent should have to bear. But worse still is not having justice when that child has been taken away from you too early.
Nabil Dahane faces every parent’s nightmare as he is still to see his daughter’s killer caught, let alone prosecuted.
It is now more than a year since 20-month-old Sarah Dahane was discovered dead at her Bicester home.
Mr Dahane has had to live with the knowledge ever since that her killer is at large.
The pain has driven him to drink and debt as he struggled to cope with the loss.
Harder still to bear is knowing the mother of his child has been named as a suspect in the murder investigation.
Angela Whitworth left the UK the day before Sarah’s body was found.
It is believed she is in Africa.
But there should be nowhere in the world that anyone can hide from justice.
Thames Valley Police must make sure that the person responsible for Sarah’s death does not escape from their sights.
The force needs to be in constant communication with agencies from other countries and Interpol and not let up in its efforts.
Every day that there is no activity is another day of torment for Mr Dahane, who will not be able to move on in his life without knowing his daughter’s killer has faced up to the crime.
