A PLAY being created at Oxford’s Pegasus Theatre takes mind games to a new level as it centres around a single game of chess.
64 Squares is currently in rehearsal at the theatre before it moves to London next month.
One of the actors, Matt Wells, said: “We’ve been working at the Pegasus Theatre for two weeks to create this.”
Oxford residents will have a chance to see a free performance tomorrow.
The play is based on Stefan Zweig’s short story The Royal Game involving a character on a cruise ship playing chess against the world champion.
