FOUR unrelated crashes in Oxfordshire caused problems on roads across the county.
Yesterday evening, there were delays in Kidlington following an accident involving two vehicles.
The collision happened on the A4260 Banbury Road at the junction with the B4027.
A spokesman for Oxfordshire Fire Service said firefighters were called to the crash at 6.20pm.
She said: “The people from the two vehicles got out before fire crews arrived and we left them in the care of ambulance staff.”
Two patients were taken to Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital. One was a woman in her 90s with a neck injury. There were no details about the other patient.
Three cars were involved in a crash on the A40 near the Cassington traffic lights on the eastbound carriageway at about 11am, but there were no reports of any injuries.
Earlier in the day, there was a crash between a van and a motorcycle in Woodstock Road.
Police said the motorcyclist had suffered leg injuries and was treated by paramedics.
Spokeswoman Hannah Williams said: “We were called at 8.48am to reports of a collision in Woodstock Road involving a Ford Transit van and a black Triumph motorcycle.”
The road was blocked temporarily, she said.
South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) said the motorcyclist was taken to the JR.
And about half an hour before that, part of the M40 between Wheatley and Bicester was closed after a crash between a car and a van. At about 8.10am a BMW and a Citroen van collided. Police were called to the scene.
Ms Williams said the drivers were believed to have suffered minor injuries and a spokeswoman for SCAS said two peopel were taken to hospital.
