A TRAFFIC check in Oxford by Thames Valley Police yesterday saw 35 people stopped for not wearing seatbelts and 15 drivers for using mobile phones.
The operation in Abingdon Road began at 8am. Two cars were seized – one because the driver had no insurance and one because it was a foreign car being driven by a British driver.
It is an offence to drive a foreign car in Britain if you are a resident of the United Kingdom, with exceptions including students and certain contract workers.
