A 42-year-old builder whose body was found in a van parked outside Burger King at the Oxford Retail Park, Cowley, last Thursday had been dead some time, an inquest heard yesterday.
Oxfordshire coroner Darren Salter said drug paraphernalia was found alongside the decomposed body of Norwegian-born Rene Steffen Friice.
He was a single man from Stimpson Avenue, Abington, Northampton, not a local man as police had reported. The cause of death is not yet known.
It is understood the van had been parked in the Burger King car park for about a week.
The inquest was adjourned until January.
