OXFORD MAGISTRATES

  1. Hannah Bayliss, 18, of Chowns Close, Thame, admitted stealing £10.82 worth of food from Esso in Thame on April 21. Given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £10.82 compensation and a £15 victims’ surcharge.
  2. Luke Berry, 26, of Taylor Close, Faringdon, admitted breaching an anti-social behaviour order (ASBO) by being drunk in public on St Martin’s Street, Wallingford, on August 30. Berry was also subject to a suspended sentence of 24 weeks for racially-aggravated threatening words or behaviour given at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on November 19. Sent to prison for 20 weeks for breaching the ASBO for a third time.
  3. Scott Parker, 43, of The Avenue, Didcot, admitted drink driving on Bowness Avenue, Didcot, on August 16. Had 51 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, over the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Banned from driving for three years, fined £100 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge.
  4. Simon Tromp, 31, of Sycamore Crescent, Radley, near Abingdon, admitted criminally damaging a Renault Megane in Sycamore Crescent, Radley, on July 20. Fined £300 and ordered to pay £75 compensation, a £30 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  5. Sean Collier, 20, of Girdlestone Road, Oxford, admitted assaulting a man causing actual bodily harm in Linnet Close, Oxford, on July 8. Given a community order with a 16-week curfew from 8pm to 6am and ordered to pay £300 compensation.
  6. Debra Ferrer, 51, of Andersey Way, Abingdon, admitted using threatening or abusive words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Andersey Way on June 5. Also admitted committing a further offence while subject to a 12-month conditional discharge for racially-aggravated harassment given at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on November 1. Fined £100 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £45 costs.
  7. Jack Jarvis, 26, of The Causeway, Steventon, admitted driving while unfit through drugs on the A417 at Harwell on July 5. Had taken ketamine, norketamine, cocaine and benzoylecgonine. Banned from driving for 40 months. Given a community order with a 14-week curfew to remain at home between 8pm and 6am. Ordered to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  8. Sam Lynn, 23, of Coleshill Drive, Faringdon, admitted assaulting a man by beating him in Faringdon on August 15. Given a community order with a six-week curfew between 9pm and 4am and ordered to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  9. Saad Sharif, 18, of Kelburne Road, Oxford, admitted possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, on March 7. He was given a nine-month conditional discharge and was told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  10. Stuart Gallacher, 49, of Pike Terrace, Oxford, admitted breaching an anti-social behaviour order by being drunk and using abusive language in a public place at Folly Bridge, Oxford, on August 17. Community order made with six-month alcohol treatment requirement for six months and supervisions requirement. Told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  11. Caroline Rose, 22, of Van Diemans Lane, Oxford, admitted assault by beating in Hythe Bridge Street, Oxford, on August 17. Fined £85 and told to pay £30 compensation, a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  12. Holly Simmonds, 23, of Windmill Lane, Wheatley, admitted assault by beating at the Purple Turtle Bar, in Frewin Court, Oxford, on July 6. Fined £130 and told to pay £150 compen-sation, a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

 

BANBURY MAGISTRATES

  1. Ricky Harries, 43, of Causeway, Bicester, admitted criminal damage after destroying a television in Causeway, Bicester, on August 23. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge.
  2. Steven Williams, 42, of Hailey Road, Chipping Norton, admitted criminal damage after destroying a window worth £500 at The Old Mill restaurant in West Street, Chipping Norton, on August 15. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and a restraining order made for a year. Told to pay £100 compensation and a £15 victims’ surcharge.
  3. Carly Billingham, 23, of Castle Close, Benson, convicted of using a mobile phone while driving in Castle Street, Oxford on December 12. Fined £200 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for six months.
  4. Michael Morton, 76, of Laughton Hill, Stonesfield, admitted speeding at 58mph in a 50pmh zone on the Oxford Eastern Bypass on November 12. Fined £100 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge. Licence endorsed with three penalty points.
  5. Charlotte Gurney-Coombs, 31, of Begbroke Crescent, Begbroke, admitted drink-driving a BMW Mini in Begbroke Crescent, Begbroke, on March 24. Had 52 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 microgrammes. Fined £150 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £600 costs. Banned from driving for 16 months.
  6. Brendan O’Neill, 25, of Glamis Place, Banbury, admitted being drunk and disorderly in a public place namely High Street, Banbury, on August 16. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge.
  7. Jordan Skipp, 21, of Park Road, Witney, admitted theft by finding after stealing a purse and contents worth £110 in Witney on April 21. Told to pay £110 compensation.
  8. Kirsty McFarlane, 24, of Rectory Road, Oxford, admitted assault by beating in Peat Moors, Headington , on August 27 and September 1. Also admitted criminal damage after destroying a television in Peat Moors, |Headington, between August 1 and 30. Sentenced to 12 weeks in prison and told to pay an £80 victims’ surcharge.
  9. Jake Preedy, 22, of Mascord Road, Banbury, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress in George Street, Banbury, on May 25. Fined £75 and told to pay £20 compensation, a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
