MORE than 700 houses, a primary school and sports pitches could be built in Bicester if plans are approved tonight.
Countryside Properties have submitted the plans to Cherwell District Council for 36.9 hectares of land between Middleton Stoney Road and Vendee Drive.
The application was first submitted in June but was deferred so changes could be made to the positions of public spaces and allotments.
Planning officers then said there was not enough open space and wider streets were needed.
Changes have been made to the plans which now seek 709 homes, a school, an extra care nursing home, play spaces, sports pitches and allotments.
A total 35 per cent of the homes would need to be affordable houses, bungalows and flats for the council to give permission, planning officers have said.
It is also dependent on a yet-to-be-agreed cash sum for the wider community such as a suggested £122,903.90 for the allotments project.
This land is phase two of the South West Bicester site, phase one is already in development.
