A 48-year-old man suffered cuts to his face when he was jumped on and punched repeatedly in Banbury.
The victim was with two women when he was attacked at about 12.30am today in the footpath between West Bar Street and People’s Park.
The male attacker was with a woman who shouted “Michael” at the suspect before he ran away towards the park.
Police described the attacker as white, in his mid 20s, 5ft 10in, of medium build with short brown hair. He was wearing an electric blue hoody and blue jeans.
