STAFF at the Abingdon branch of Specsavers dressed up as superheroes and princesses to raise money for charity.
They managed to raise about £370 for Leah’s Legacy, a cystic fibrosis charity set up after 17-year-old Leah Graham, pictured, died from the genetic disease last October.
The charity raises awareness of cystic fibrosis, the importance of organ donation and raises money for Leah’s chosen charities – Helen and Douglas House hospice, Oxford Children’s Hospital, Cystic Fibrosis Trust and The Harefield Hospital in London.
Megan Harries, a receptionist at the Bury Street branch of the opticians, said: “It was great fun. Quite a few people who work here are close to Selina, Leah’s mother, so we wanted to do something within the community for her.”
The day also featured face-painting, a cake sale and tombola.
