There will be a retrial in the case of Jake Blakeley, who was accused of preventing a lawful burial in the case of murdered teen Jayden Parkinson.

Blakeley, 18, denied the charge but admitted perverting the course of justice.

Last week, a jury failed to reach a vedict following his trial, held alongside the murder trial of older brother Ben, 22.

Jayden’s former boyfriend Ben was found guilty and was sentenced to a minimum of 20 years in prison for murdering her and burying her body in his uncle’s grave in Didcot.

Today at Oxford Crown Court, it was decided there would be a retrial in Jake's case.

It has been earmarked for January 19 next year.
