BEAMING Matilida Hillis, from Kidlington, filled her green star-strewn wellies with flowers at Bicester Avenue Garden Centre on Tuesday.
The centre held a children’s planting event where people brought along their unloved pairs of shoes and transformed them by filling them with flora and fauna.
Then they were also asked to make a donation to the Marie Curie Cancer Care charity.
The four-year-old was accompanied to the event by her grandmother Lynne Hillis who let Matilda choose the plants.
Matilda said: “They are now my favourite wellies.”
The garden centre will hold the events again on the following days: August 7, 14, 19 and 28.
