A NURSERY in Bicester has been given the highest rating by Ofsted inspectors.
Toad Hall Day Nursery in Buckingham Road was inspecte on June 27.
The nursery, which looks after 114 children up to the age of 10, was told on Friday it was outstanding.
Inspector Sally Hughes praised the nursery for its “excellent” teaching and “inspirational” leadership and management.
She said: “By the end of their time in the nursery, children are highly articulate, confident and independent.
“These skills prepare them extremely well for the next stage in their learning.
“Overall, staff are very conscientious and thorough. They are extremely skilled in engaging children in all activities and highly imaginative in their planning to promote children's progress quickly.”
The report said staff have outstanding relationships with the children and children interact “confidently”. It is the first time the nursery has been inspected since it was re-registered this year.
Ms Hughes added: “Overall, the provider runs a nursery that is a welcoming and stimulating place for families and children.’’
