RODENTS are living it up in a model village complete with church and jail.

Fairytale Farm on the A44 near Chipping Norton opened Mouse Town in a former stable building on Saturday for a second year.

The miniature rural English village will has a population of 10 real life mice, who are enjoying going to the shops, attending church and a dunk in the village pond. Naughty residents could end up in the town’s jail.

The attraction is tailored to be accessible for children with sensory, learning and physical disabilities.

Volunteer Eddie Fawcett said: I think it is absolutely fantastic – I have never seen anything like it before.”

Owner Nick Laister was inspired by daughter Olivia, 16, who has cerebral palsy, and said: “We always try and do something different at Fairytale Farm.”

He added: “Our visitors have told us that our new attractions for 2014 have offered something they haven’t seen before.”

Mouse Town will be open until Sunday, November 2 at the farm, which is open every day from 10am until 5pm.
