Sir – Whenever I have been in Los Angeles, driving around through both residential and commercial areas, I have always been tremendously impressed by the requirements imposed on vehicles when in the near locality of schools.
Not only was the speed severely restricted, but additionally, drivers were required to come to a stop before continuing to drive past the school.
Also, as far as I remember, overtaking a school bus outside a school was prohibited. The move here to get 20mph as the norm is the first step in the right direction. Vive LA!
