HEAVY showers are forecast for the county as the the area was issued a yellow rain warning until 9pm today.
The Met Office said people should be aware of a risk of localised flooding, especially if there is heavy rainfall in urban areas.
Up to 10mm of rain could fall in a short space of time but downpours are not expected to be as heavy or as widespread as thunderstorms on the south coast of England this morning.
A yellow warning is the lowest level of warning issued by the Met Office and means people should be aware of risks posed by the weather and expect minor travel delays.
Amber warnings advise people to be well prepared before travelling and take precautions where necessary. The highest level of alert, a red warning, suggests serious disruption and advises against all non-essential travel.
