BANBURY MAGISTRATES
- Andrew Simpson, 49, of Burford Road, Witney, admitted recording another person doing a private act with the intention of gaining sexual gratification from the image without consent in Kingsfield Crescent, Witney, between January 1 and November 13, 2012 and again on November 13, 2012. Given a community order requiring participation in Thames Valley Sex Offender Group work for 63 days and given a three-year supervision requirement. He was also given a restraining order against the victim to last until July 15, 2017. Ordered to pay an £80 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
- Rick Harries, 42, of Causeway, Bicester, admitted assaulting a woman by beating her in Causeway, Bicester, on May 27. Sent to prison for 18 weeks and given a restraining order against the victim until further notice.
- Derek Cordingley, 60, of East Street, Fritwell, near Bicester, admitted stalking a woman in Bicester between September 1 and November 6, 2013. Sent to prison for 28 days, suspended for 12 months. Also given a restraining order against the victim and ordered to pay an £80 victims’ surcharge and £650 costs.
- Jacob Hedley, 39, of Newcombe Close, Milcombe near Banbury was convicted of assaulting a woman by beating her in Newcombe Close on May 18, while subject to a suspended sentence given by Banbury Magistrates’ on May 16 for assault. Sent to prison for 12 weeks and given a restraining order against the victim until July 15, 2016.
- Waseem Ahmed, 30, of Hurst Street, Oxford, admitted stealing a TomTom satnav worth £119.99 in Oxford from December 30 to March 28. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs.
- Peter Ayres, 54, of Iffley Road, Oxford, admitted stealing a bottle of Js Cream Sherry worth £7 from Sainsbury’s in the Westgate shopping Centre, Oxford, on April 24. Given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £40 of costs.
- Graham Collier, 52, of Dene Road, Oxford, admitted stealing a bottle of wine and a shoulder of meat worth £19.83 from Co-op in London Road, Headington, on June 24. Fined £60 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs.
- Christina Guard, 38, of Henley Avenue, Oxford, admitted stealing food and alcohol worth £119.38 from Sainsbury’s at Heyford Hill, Oxford, on July 17. Given a two-year conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs.
- James Lavis, 25, of Kennett Road, Headington, admitted possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, in Barton Lane, Headington, Oxford, on July 1. Also admitted assaulting a man in North Way, Headington, on July 1. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and fined £200 and ordered to pay £50 compensation, a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
- Alistair French, 31, of Fairthorne Way, Shrivenham, admitted drink driving in Fairthorne Way on June 22. Had 93 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath over the legal limit of 35mg. Fined £2,800 and ordered to pay a £280 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for two years.
OXFORD MAGISTRATES
- Kieron Hogg, 23, of Cartmel, Bicester, convicted of causing racially or religiously aggravated harassment, alarm or distress by words or writing in Bicester on October 19. Fined £215 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £300 costs.
- Tomasz Rybak, 34, of Bradstocks Way, Sutton Courtenay, near Abingdon, admitted failing without reasonable excuse to comply with the requirements of a community order made by Oxford Magistrates’ Court on December 9 for drink driving, by failing to make himself available for the installation of monitoring equipment on January 4. Community order made with 14-week curfew requirement.
- Thorge Block, 20, of Cheney Student Village, Headington, Oxford, admitted drink driving on May 31 in Davenant Road, Oxford. Had 175mg of alcohol in 100ml of urine, above the legal limit of 107mg of urine. Given a 12-month driving ban and told to pay a £250 fine, a £25 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
- Samantha Frankum, 27, of Main Street, Grove, near Wantage, admitted being the owner in charge of a dangerously out of control dog, which caused no injury, on May 17 in Main Street, Grove, near Wantage. Ordered to keep the black mongrel Titch under control using a muzzle sufficient to stop it biting a person, or it will be destroyed. Also fined £100 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
- Sheenwar Mustafa, 35, of Littlemore Road, Oxford, admitted stealing two bottles of cognac worth £63.18 from the Co-op in Templars Square, Cowley, on May 21. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £35 costs.
- Lee Bayliss, 37, of Simpsons Way, Kennington, Oxford, admitted stealing a laptop worth £350, a handbag, various store cards, two bank cards and a £20 voucher from Hill Side, Great Coxwell, Faringdon, on May 11; committing fraud by using a stolen bank card to gain £300 at the BP Buckland Street Service Station on May 11; committed fraud by attempting to use a stolen bank card in Besselsleigh Road, Wootton, May 11; stealing a handbag and contents from a motor vehicle in Little Wittenham, Abingdon, on May 4; committing fraud by attempting to use a stolen bank card to withdraw £200 from Sainsbury’s in Heyford Hill, Oxford, on May 4; stealing a sat nav from a car in Hill Road, Watlington, on May 17; and attempting to steal from a motor vehicle in Hill Road, Watlington, on May 17. Given a 20-week prison sentence, suspended for 18 months with 150 hours of unpaid work. Also told to pay £300 compensation, an £80 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Jason Tripp, 26, of Larkhill Road, Abingdon, admitted causing criminal damage worth £40 to a bedroom door in Bradstocks Way, Sutton Courtenay, near Abingdon, on June 22. Fined £250 and told to pay a £25 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
