FIREFIGHTERS were still putting out a blaze at a hay barn yesterday in a village near Thame.
The fire started at about 5.20pm in North Weston on Monday evening and one fire engine and crew were still at the scene at 8am yesterday morning.
A spokeswoman for Oxford Fire Service said yesterday there were still “hot spots and lots of smoke”.
Fred Hodges, manager of Radnage Livery and Eventing, said: “The fire brigade are still here, but I know that none of the animals or people who work here had been injured.
“I don’t know how the fire started.”
When the fire started it closed the A148 for four hours as firefighters tried to tackle the flames.
