A man has appeared in court charged with blackmail and false imprisonment.
Francis Essilfie, of The Square, Botley, appeared at Swindon Crown Court on Friday alongside another man, Francis Njoroge, of Pinehurst, Swindon.
They are accused of demanding money with menaces from a woman on June 19.
Njoroge, 48, and Essilfie, 36, are also accused of falsely imprisoned the woman.
No charges were formally put to the pair and they did not enter any pleas.
The case was adjourned until October 3 and both were remanded in custody.
