Ice cream van and lorry crash causes A34 delays
DRIVERS were delayed on the A34 near junction 9 of the M40 this afternoon after an ice cream van collided with a lorry.
Police and paramedics were called just before 3.30pm to the northbound crash by Weston-On-The-Green. South Central Ambulance Service said one man from each vehicle suffered minor injuries.
The smash – which caused traffic problems for those leaving Woodstock’s CLA Game Fair – meant one lane was closed and re-opened after an hour.
There were queues and congestion on the A34 to A44 Woodstock Road at the Peartree Interchange.
