Sir – I have lost count of the number of complaints I have heard from others about telecommunications companies like BT and Talk Talk; now I have joined the complainants.
After three weeks without a reliable BT email service and after countless phone calls and emails, the problem was finally solved.
When my 88-year-old father who suffers from Alzheimer’s moved from his home to a care home, the phone was not connected by Talk Talk on the agreed date but he was told he would have to wait for a further two weeks.
He is disorientated and very distressed, unable to master a mobile phone because of his condition.
When will communications firms learn how to communicate with their customers in an effective manner which will restore consumer confidence which, currently, appears to be at rock bottom?
