A heatwave warning has been issued as temperatures are predicted to hit 29 degrees this Friday.
The Met Office warned there is a 60 per cent probability of a heatwave across Oxfordshire between 8am on Friday and 8am on Sunday with a very humid night likely on Friday.
It has been classified as level two, with level one being the lowest and level four being the highest - when illness and death may occur among the fit and healthy, and not just in high-risk groups.
Thunderstorms on Saturday could lead to lower temperatures but it will remain humid and the very young, very old and those with chronic diseases have been advised to avoid the heat where possible.
