A school is to be able to take in pupils past the age of 16 from September.
It is the first time in its 40-year history that Carterton Community College will be able to teach children post-16.
Yesterday, county council education cabinet member Melinda Tilley officially signed off on the plans, which were approved by cabinet in March.
