AGATHA Christie novels inspired a weekend murder mystery in an Oxfordshire market town.
Actors dressed as characters from her stories greeted visitors at locations in Chipping Norton before they were tasked with working out “whodunnit”.
The project was a collaboration between the Chipping Norton Theatre Company and production group Scary Little Girls.
The group’s artistic director, Rebecca Mordan, hailed the weekend’s event a success after about 220 people booked on to 11 tours.
She said: “It was a pleasure to see the audience enjoying it because there were a lovely lot of people who came to enjoy it and they were in a jolly good mood.”
The tour started at The Theatre, Chipping Norton, in Church Street, and also included the craft shop The Firbreworks, in Middle Row.
The characters included the Belgian detective Hercule Poirot and star of 12 Agatha Christie novels Miss Marple.
Ms Mordan said: “Most of the walks sold out completely so we are really delighted with the turnout.”
