ENVIRONMENT bosses say they will take legal action if needed after a boat sunk and spilled oil into the River Thames.
The boat was illegally moored next to Salters dry dock, Iffley, after being brought down from Osney Lock late on Tuesday night, the Environment Agency said.
Agency waterways manager Andrew Graham said: “We will work with the towpath landowner to get the owner to refloat or remove the boat.
“Failing this, we will follow due legal process to remove the boat and recharge the costs to the owners.”
