A thief asked to borrow 20p before snatching a purse from a 20-year-old woman.
The crime happened on the corner of Gainsborough Green and Reynolds Way at about 3.40pm on July 1, but Thames Valley Police only released the details this week.
The suspect, who ran off towards Saxton Road, was described as white, of medium build, with black hair, wearing a black t-shirt.
