A nine-pound fish was caught in the River Thames at Abingdon.
Environment Agency fisheries officers were carrying out a fish survey between Iffley Lock and Benson Lock last week.
The large barbel was one of more than 800 fish caught at Abingdon using electric stunning techniques, before being measured and returned to the water unharmed.
