Annabal Bagdi, in ‘Remember When,’ shows Charles Broadhurst discovering a millstone at Hinksey in 1970. I have sent a painting of Botley Mills.
The Earl Of Abingdon employed four generations of the Hunt family to run the mill, prior to its sale in 1919.
One of the Hunts had a shop in Oxford which, I believe, was called Hunt’s office supplies.
The Hunts also started a business next to the mill called Hunt and Broadhurst, with this Mr Broadhurst being an in-law. I wondered if the Charles Broadhurst shown in your photograph was a relative.
