TEN-year-old Kirsty Gifford carefully positioned the camera to get her fellow film-makers in shot at a free filming session.
The weekly workshops, for young people aged between eight and 14, are taking place at the Barton Neighbourhood Centre, in Oxford.
Youngsters are learning how movies are made, from the creation of an idea to editing film on computers. The series of sessions will conclude with a screening of their movie for friends and family.
Anil Subhrai from Film Oxford led the session on Tuesday and said: “It just gives them a bit of an insight into what videos look like and how they are filmed.”
He added: “They were an enthusiastic bunch, they were keen to learn.”
The five-week programme, now in its second week, is part of Oxford City Council’s Youth Ambition strategy.
