THE body of a man in his 60s found in the River Thames is believed to be that of missing Marsh Baldon man Richard Barnett.
The body was recovered from the water in Wharf Road, Shillingford, at about 12.45pm on Friday, Thames Valley Police said today.
Paramedics and the fire service also attended with its specialist search and rescue team recovering the body.
The body has not been formally identified but police said it is believed to be Mr Barnett, who went missing in January.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and will be handed over to the coroner.
