THESE pied pipers were out to make a name for themselves and hoped others would join their ranks.
They were all members of the newly-formed Oxford Flute and Drum Band, which met at St Francis Church hall in Hollow Way, Cowley.
The 22-strong band was formed in 1985 by their teacher, Eddie Enright, pictured back left with his wife Janet, of Dene Road, Headington.
Mr Enright, who taught the flute at city centre schools, said he felt there was a need for such a band in Oxford and hoped to attract more members to it.
Can we name any of the young musicians?
