Sir – The One World Fair at Oxford Town Hall on November 16 was in competition with a “Giant Antique Fair, Open Today”, advertised at Carfax.
However, those who were tempted away to Gloucester Green, as with giant fairs there on other days recently, found nothing at all. If the organisation which has taken over fairs at Gloucester Green is going to advertise so carelessly, it would do better not to advertise at all.
At this time of year, all kinds of fairs pop up unexpectedly on various days and surely it is in nobody’s interest to advertise ones like this.
