AS Jennifer Creasey awaits sentence for perverting the course of justice, what led her to lie to police after her lover committed murder will no doubt be playing on her mind.
In a story that sounds like something out of a grisly film noir, she lied to investigators in an attempt to protect Christopher Symons after he bludgeoned a millionaire to death because he wanted to inherit her money.
Reading Crown Court has been told Creasey was “passionately in love” with Symons.
As this sad tale comes to an end, it illustrates all too plainly that love makes people do strange and desperate things.
