Tasty! Emma Watson, manager of Cafe Aloha, heralded pink cake day as “a great success”.
The cafe in Botley sold pink cakes and afternoon teas yesterday as part of a breast cancer awareness weekend.
Ms Watson, 30, said: “We have been planning this for a couple of weeks. We didn’t really know what to expect as it was the first time we had done it.
“But it’s been a real success and we have sold 10 afternoon teas.
“These included a selection of sandwiches, a sponge cake with pink icing, pictured, and home-made scones. The cafe holds 48 people when it is full and it was non-stop all day.”
The pink day continues today from 9am to 9pm at the Square in the West Way Shopping Centre.
