YOUNG ghoulies and ghosties will be out in force this week to frighten away the Hallowe’en spirits.
But for these children, below, there was no wandering the streets to ‘trick or treat’ – they celebrated with an indoor party.
Bobbing apples, marshmallows in flour and games in fancy dress provided traditional fun for youngsters at Glory Farm School at Bicester in 1986.
Samantha Toogood, Mark Mott, Victor May and Helen Milne were the winners of the over-eight class fancy dress.
In the picture above James Hale, a part-time worker at the Bodicote Flyover farm shop, near Banbury, is seen carving a pumpkin for Hallowe’en.
The farm produced seven-and-a-half tons of what some people say is a fruit and others say is a vegetable.
