THE romantic tale of Helen and Paris was recreated at Peers School, Littlemore, with the staging of Offenbach’s classic opera, La Belle Helene.
The cast included pupils and staff from Peers as well as children from the neighbouring Lawn Upton Middle School.
Some of them are pictured in a scene at the dress rehearsal in 1977.
A former Peers’ pupil, Lorraine Kinch, who trained at the Royal Academy of Music and lived at Botley, took the title role.
